What is the Workplace Charging Scheme?

Also known as WSC, the Workplace Charging Scheme is a voucher-based Government scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations. The contribution is limited to the 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £350 for each socket, up to a maximum of 40 across all sites for each applicant.

To be eligible for the Workplace Charging Scheme, you must be a registered business, charity, or public sector organisation with a Companies House reference number, must have received less than Euro 200,000 of public support in the last 3 fiscal years and can declare a need for electric vehicle charging equipment or an intent to encourage uptake among their staff and/or fleet.

You must also have dedicated off-street parking, located in the UK and own the property or have consent from the landlord for charge points to be installed at all the sites listed in the application.
